Event-Related Potentials: Mismatch Negativity (MMN)
We are excited to announce the continuation of our lecture series on evoked potentials!
The lecture is now available on YouTube. The English version is being translated and will be released soon.
This time, the focus is on Mismatch Negativity (MMN) — a component of event-related potential (ERP) that reflects the brain’s response to changes in auditory or visual stimuli. MMN captures a negative deflection, recorded 100–250 ms after a stimulus change, serving as an indicator of the brain's automatic processing of information.
The lecture includes a special excerpt from Risto Näätänen's talk at Moscow State University, highlighting the discovery of the MMN phenomenon.
The lecture is conducted by Patricia Ratmanova, PhD in Biology and lecturer at the Department of Higher Neural Activity at Moscow State University. The practical part of the video showcases our software and equipment in action.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about the significant role of MMN in auditory perception and neuropsychological research!
